Dukan Diet Mega Weight Loss Diet By French Doctor

By Dominique Scott

Do you want to lose a lot of weight fast? If you haven’t tried the Dukan Diet, you must check out this article. Developed by acclaimed French doctor Pierre Dukan, this diet was just released outside of France after much popularity in France over the last decade.

The Dukan Diet has proven successful for both those just a few pounds to lose and for those who want to lose a lot of weight fast. Dr. Pierre Dukan reports that weight gain is a result of how many fat cells we have. When you overeat, at a certain point fat cells grow big enough that if the unhealthy cycle isn’t stopped, the cells then split into two, creating more fat cells. This of course makes dieting and weight loss more difficult. After working with thousands of patients, Dr. Dukan created the Dukan Diet to help people with all different body sizes and shapes to be able to lose pounds and maintain weight loss.

The Dukan Diet works to attack weight loss with an intense and restrictive diet in the beginning stages. However, the diet gradually works into something that you can maintain for life to keep the weight off. It is a four-phase program that with initial dramatic weight loss, encourages continued dedication. In his ten years working with patients, Dr. Dukan reported that this worked both for people who were obese and those who wanted to shed a few pounds to get to their ideal weight. You can tailor the time in each phase to your individual needs to reach your goal weight.

The Dukan Diet is laid out in four distinct parts or phases: the attack phase, the cruise phase, the consolidation phase and the stabilization phase. The diet requires discipline and takes some adjustment but if you do stick with it, you can lose weight very quickly. The Dukan Diet isn’t a crash diet– it’s a plan for life. Pierre Dukan focuses heavily on maintenance. He notes that the problem with most diets is getting through that critical period following initial weight dramatic loss where many people falter and gain back any weight they’ve lost

During the attack phase of the Dukan Diet, you stick to an all-protein diet. The emphasis on protein sounds like the popular Atkin’s Diet. However, unlike the Atkin’s plan, you aren’t consuming fatty protein with cheese, butter and as much fat as you desire. Dukan instructs that fat is to be trimmed off of beef and other meats, and the skin to be removed from chicken. The first portion of the diet can be done for anywhere from one to ten days, depending on how many pounds you want to lose. To drop more weight rapidly, continue this attack phase of the diet for as long as desired.

The second phase of the Dukan Diet is the cruise phase. Dieters continue to lose pounds during this phase but not at the accelerated rate of the first phase. You will alternate your protein-only days with protein and vegetable days. You must avoid starchy vegetables- most green vegetables can be enjoyed without restriction during this phase on vegetable days. You can expect to lose approximately 2 pounds per week during the cruise phase of the diet. You stay in this phase alternating protein and protein/vegetable days until you reach your goal weight. Stay in the attack phase for a longer time before starting this second phase of the diet if you want to continue to lose weight rapidly. Then, stay in the cruise phase until you reach your weight loss goal. Keep reading for direction on the third and fourth phases.

During your Dukan Diet, the doctor advises low impact exercise like walking for 25 minutes each day. Adequate hydration is also important and getting enough water is imperative.

Does this diet sound like one you want to try? If you could lose 20, 30, 40 pounds or more and keep it off it might be worth it right? Dr. Dukan has tons of patients thrilled with their weight loss results on the Dukan Diet. More and more people are getting excited about the possibility of quick weight loss with long-term results now that Pierre Dukan’s Diet is now gaining popularity outside of France.

The third and fourth phases are incredibly important to the success of your weight loss maintenance. Dukan noted that most dieters have problems in this stage of their weight loss. You’ve lost the major weight you want to lose and now you want to re-enter your normal life and routine. What do you do? Dukan has a method for this.

CanadaVOTES: Libertarian John Kittridge in St. Paul’s

Monday, October 13, 2008

In an attempt to speak with as many candidates as possible during the 2008 Canadian federal election, Wikinews has talked via email with John Kittredge. John is a candidate in Toronto, Ontario’s St. Paul riding, running under the Libertarian Party banner. Libertarians are a minor, registered political party; they are looking to earn their first ever seat in the House of Commons.

Incumbent Carolyn Bennett of the Liberals is running against Libertarian Kittridge, Conservative Heather Jewell, New Democrat Anita Agrawal, and Justin Erdman, a Green. Bennett was the Minister of Health under previous Prime Minister Paul Martin’s Liberal government. Since it was created in 1935, the riding has been batted about between the Liberals and the now defunct Progessive Conservative party.

The following is an interview with Mr. Kittridge, conducted via email. The interview has had very limited editing, to eliminate in-text mentions of website addresses, but is otherwise left exactly as sent to Wikinews.

Flight from Armenian capital Yerevan crashes near Sochi

Tuesday, May 2, 2006

An Armavia Airbus 320 passenger plane flying from Armenia‘s capital, Yerevan, to the city of Sochi in southern Russia has crashed into the Black Sea. The jet was found 6 km from the coast and carried a total of 113 people. Among the passengers were 8 crew and 6 children. Controllers lost contact with the plane at 0215 local time (Tuesday 2215 UTC).

Rescuers have found the corpses of a woman and a girl and another 12 body parts at the site of Wednesday’s crash of Armenia’s Airbus A-320 plane off Russia’s Black Sea coast, a spokesman for the Russian Prosecutor General’s Office told Interfax. Other reports say that at least 25 bodies have been found.

There were 77 Armenian citizens, 26 Russian citizens, 1 Ukrainian and 1 Georgian citizen on board of the Armenian air liner, Armenian Civil Aviation Department head Artyom Movsisian told on a news conference.

“Most of the Russian citizens are of Armenian origin,” Movsisian said.

“Rescue efforts are being hampered by deteriorating weather conditions, heavy rain and rough seas,” a spokesman for the Russian Emergency Situations Ministry said.

“The fragments were found six km (3.7 miles) from the shore near the airport of Adler. The search operation continues,” said Beltsov. The location of the crash site has been ascertained by a numerous fragments and life vests, and a large oil slick.

“The only thing [we] know is that when the crew asked for permission to land, the air controller in Sochi responded that bad weather meant this was not yet possible,” Gayane Davtyan, head of Armenia’s civilian aviation authority said. “Contact with the crew was lost at 600 meters, when the plane went to circle for a second time.”

The cause of the tragedy remains unclear, but the investigators are pursuing two main versions: bad weather conditions and poor maintenance.

The Russian Prosecutor General’s Office believes terrorism can be ruled out as a factor in the A-320 plane crash near the Russian Black Sea resort of Sochi on Wednesday morning.

“We don’t have any information that could indicate a possible terrorist attack on board the plane,” Russian Deputy Prosecutor General Nikolai Shepel told Interfax on Wednesday.

An official from the regional department of the Emergency Situations Ministry in southern Russia said “apparently there were malfunctions on board, as the pilots were making another attempt to land at the Adler airport.”

“The plane was in an ideal technical condition, the crew was well qualified,” said the airline’s deputy commercial director, Andrei Aghajanov. The cause of the crash is under investigation.

In the area where the plane crashed, more rain is expected in the next hours and the water temperature is currently between 8 to 10 degrees celsius.

The Russian and Armenian presidents have announced on Wednesday that Friday, May 5th, would be a day of mourning in remembrance of the 113 people that died in the crash.

The worst crash involving an two-engine A-320, which was first built in 1984 and remains the most popular Airbus on the market, occurred in August 2000, when a Gulf Air plane crashed off Bahrain on a flight from Cairo, killing all 143 people on board. The Airbus A320 is a short-to-medium range commercial passenger aircraft and a total of 328 people have been killed in earlier A320 accidents.

About 20 boats and a Be-200 amphibious aircraft are involved in the recovery operation, emergency services said, adding that two more Be-200s would fly to the scene if necessary. A group of rescuers from the Russian emergency ministry is expected to fly to the crash site in the next few hours.

Deploying Professional Videographers In Dc To Enhance Accuracy

byAlma Abell

Washington, DC is often considered the law capital of the nation. Millions of court cases are opened, closed, and resolved over the course of a year. Some are small and end quickly. Others are wrapped up in a legal scandal that demands the attention of every public media report available. Through it all, Videographers in DC need to make sense of the content being presented to them. They also have a legal obligation to carry through on a case in a logical, fair, and effective manner.

It is not all exciting and thrilling. Being behind the scenes in a court scenario can be demanding and difficult. It requires patience and determination, as well as extensive knowledge of the equipment.

Gore brothers is perfectly catered to meeting the demands of a tricky court case. Videography involves activities such as presentation management in technology. A defense attorney may need to best the weak offensive evidence with their own series of points. What better way to capture the imagination and facts than with a detailed presentation on video?

A court case relies on presenting the events. A great presentation can work wonders in persuading and convincing a jury of the situation that is the most accurate. Videographers in DC are professionally trained to cut up and organize information in a way that enhances the clarity of the message and makes it most approachable.Attorneys and lawyers have enough on their minds. Should proper organization and implementation of a presentation be one of them? Professionals can relax knowing other professionals are making their life all the easier.

The medium also covers court reporting. At the end of the day, accuracy is the most important element. Proper videography implementation could be the difference between a case going towards the facts or going completely distraught. Professionals seek to enhance accuracy by adding detailed videographic systems. The court relies on these accounts to keep records of what happened and when it occurred.

There is a lot more going on in a court situation than a handful of people yelling at each other. In the grand scheme of things, video technology has vastly improved the justice system in a number of ways.

Benefits Of Plastic Injection Molding

byadmin

If you have been involved in industrial production in any shape or form since the 1940s, you have heard about the process called plastic injection molding. Service of this type increasingly became common as a result of the technological advances made during World War II. Increased demand by the public for manufactured goods made inexpensively and quickly also affected the need to come up with more efficient production methods. The response from James W. Hendry (1921-2014) in 1946 was the screw plastic injection molding machine.

What Is Plastic Insert Molding?

A plastic injection molding service is a company or supplier that takes several different components (They can be made of metal, ceramic or plastic.), lines them up in a set pattern in a specifically designed molding cavity and inject them with a thermoplastic substance. The result is a new, strong, single unit.

Why Choose an Injection Insert Molding Service?

Companies have long preferred to employ an injection insert molding service in the manufacturing process for several reasons. Among the most stated motives are the following:

* It results in decreased labor and assembly costs when compared to the alternative methods of soldering or employing adhesives or fasteners* Everything can be molded in a single action rather than in several actions* The material required results in a savings over material costs because the amount is less. An injection insert molding service does not need as much or as heavy an amount of joining or adhesive material because the plastic addition eliminates the need for other fasteners and other devices required for attachment.* The resultant product is stronger due to the co-joining of the plastic and the various components* The resulting item is more reliable since the injection insert molding service ensures the parts are fixed firmly in the proper position. This is particularly important when it comes to medical devices and electrical units. They need to be highly resistant to shock and vibrations* The process allows for companies to have flexibility in design. They are able to combine various materials and create diverse configurations as required.* In the procedure, you can employ recycled materials such as plastic pellets with greater ease.

Companies have also found that it is inexpensive to retool. Conversion is easy with the resultant savings, including the use of recycled plastic pellets. Is it any wonder there are many companies out there willing to help you get started and/or supply you with their plastic injection molding service.

Finding the Right Plastic Injection Insert Molding Service

There are many different companies that offer you a plastic injection molding service. Be sure to check their credentials. Talk to those who have used their services and be sure to obtain samples of their work. Visit the company and be sure to see the products in action. The construction and mold design of the product is extremely important when dealing with insert moldings. Only after you have ascertained that the company is credible, reputable and delivers a quality product on time should you agree to work with them.

If you are seeking out a high quality, reliable plastic injection molding service, be sure to talk to the professionals at Aberdeen Technologies Inc. They can help you with a diversity that is known in the business. From helping you with your own designs to supplying you with products from their own molding operations performed in their GMP-compliant cleanroom, their team of experts can help you find the answers and/or the right molds. AFC Asian Cup: Lights fail as Korea draw with Saudi Arabia, Iran defeat Uzbekistan

Thursday, July 12, 2007

A lighting failure five minutes from the end interrupted the 2007 AFC Asian Cup Group D match between Korea Republic and Saudi Arabia.

The match, played at the Bung Karno Stadium in Jakarta, Indonesia, was stopped for 27 minutes after the lighting on one half of the stadium suddenly turned off.

At the time of the disruption – 84 minutes 35 seconds played – the match was delicately poised at one goal apiece.

An spokesperson for the Asian Football Confederation has said that the lighting failure was ‘due to problems with power around Jakarta city’.

Referee Mark Shield, from Australia, immediately stopped the match after the lights turned out. Under tournament rules, officials had one hour to get the lights and play restarted before the match would have to be abandoned. An emergency generator was used to restore some of the knocked-out lights to a sufficient level for playing, allowing Shield to restart play after the lengthy delay.

The match was an eventful one generally, especially after half time. Both teams played a cautious first half which was devoid of any real scoring opportunities.

However, after the break, Korea went 1-0 ahead through striker Choi Sung-Kuk after sixty-six minutes. A curling cross from the left-hand wing found the head of Sung-Kuk, who moved in front of the Saudi defender and headed the ball into the bottom right-hand corner of the net.

Eleven minutes later, referee Shield awarded Saudi Arabia a penalty kick after Malek Mouath was adjudged to have been fouled inside the penalty box by a Korean defender. Captain Yasser Al-Qahtani stepped up and converted to level the scores 1-1 after seventy-seven minutes.

After play was restarted due to the power failure, Saudi Arabia had an excellent chance to win the match with the final kick of the game. Striker Saad Al Harthi missed a one-on-one opportunity with the Korean goalkeeper, pushing his shot wide.

The draw leaves hosts Indonesia on top of the Group D table after defeating Bahrain 2-1 in the opening match of the group.

In Group C, Iran has come back from a goal down to defeat Uzbekistan 2-1 at the Bukit Jalil Stadium, Kuala Lumpur.

Iran conceded the lead to Uzbekistan on sixteen minutes when Iranian defender Rahman Rezaei scored an own goal. Trying to head the ball back to his goalkeeper Hassan Roudbarian, Rezaei only managed to head the ball over Roudbarianand into the back of his own net.

The score remained 1-0 until the fifty-fifth minute, when Iran equalised through Seyed Jalal Hosseini. Hosseini headed a fast-moving corner kick from the right hand side by Mehdi Mahdavikia past Uzbekistan’s defence to equalize.

Iran then went ahead after seventy-eight minutes after midfielder Andranik Teymourian provided a through-pass which found Javad Kazemian on the edge of the penalty box. Kazemian struck his shot sweetly to beat the goalkeeper and made the scoreline 2-1.

No further goals came, however Iranian coach Amir Ghalenoei was sent from the sidelines by the referee due to an indiscretion.

The result puts Iran on three points and at the top of Group C, however they trail China, who defeated Malaysia 5-1 a day prior, on goal difference.

Interview: Drupal founder Dries Buytaert balances community and company interests

Sunday, February 24, 2008

In the year 2000, Dries Buytaert created Drupal, a freely licensed and open source tool to manage websites, as a bulletin board for his college dorm. Since Dries released the software and a community of thousands of volunteer developers have added and improved modules, Drupal has grown immensely popular. Drupal won the overall Open CMS Award in 2007, and some speakers in Drupal’s spacious developer’s room at FOSDEM 2008 were dreaming aloud of its world domination.

Buytaert (now 29) just finished his doctoral thesis and has founded the start-up Acquia. The new company wants to become Drupal’s best friend, with the help of an all-star team and US$7 million collected from venture capitalists. Wikinews reporter Michaël Laurent sat down with Dries in Brussels to discuss these recent exciting developments.

Wikinews interviews Jeremy Hanke, editor of MicroFilmmaker Magazine

Friday, April 11, 2008

Wikinews held an exclusive interview with Jeremy Hanke, editor of MicroFilmmaker Magazine. The magazine, which is free to read online, was started as a resource for the low budget moviemaker and features book, independent film, equipment and software reviews as well as articles on film distribution, special effects and lighting.

He says that one of the goals of the magazine is to “connect low-budget filmmakers via a feeling of community, as many…..often compete so viciously against one another in film festivals for coveted “shots” with Hollywood, that they can quickly forget their similarities.”

When asked if films made on a shoestring budget can really compete with those made for millions of dollars, he replied, “no…yes…and absolutely. Allow me to explain.” And so he does in the interview below.
