Plastic bed liners may be better for your truck than an expensive spray on liner. Not just because they’re cheaper either.

Pickup truck bed liners are one of the best ways to keep your truck looking good. You can choose from several types of liners. Plastic bed liners may be the best choice if you really use your vehicle for serious hauling. If you only haul groceries, any liner will do or maybe you don’t even need a bed lining. Often the spray on liner is considered the top choice and they have several advantages. But plastic truck bed liners may be better sometimes and here’s why.

No more dents.

Nothing makes a pickup bed look much worse than a lot of dents and dings. And some kinds of hauling just produces dents. It’s almost impossible to avoid. Here’s where plastic linings really shine. One of these liners is almost impossible to dent. Just the thickness and weight of a good liner is a clue about how tough these liners are. Plastic tough liners absorb shocks that would damage lesser materials. Now the best spray on liners absorb a lot of damage, but they’re more rubbery and not as hard and tough as plastic.

No more scrapes.

The other way to destroy a truck bed is with scrapes and scratches. Of course this kind of damage is bad enough, but the damage is a place for rust to get a start. Rust is the real killer. And unless you keep scratches repaired, you’ll get rust. A great plastic lining will eliminate scratches from any kind of cargo. Think about concrete blocks. No way you can avoid bed damage if you haul a few concrete blocks without a liner. And remember a spray on liner may keep gouges from reaching the bed. But that doesn’t mean the expensive liner doesn’t get scarred up. So a damaged spray on bed liner must be repaired or you live with the damage.

Good looks.

Which leads to the looks factor. A pickup just doesn’t look right without a bed liner. A custom drop in liner looks just as good as a spray on liner. But of course the spray liner is permanent. That isn’t all good since normal wear and tear may make your liner look shabby over time. With a plastic bed liner, abuse it all you want and just pull it out and slip in another at any time.

Cheap is good.

Replacing a plastic liner isn’t such a big deal, since they’re so much cheaper than a spray on liner. The price may be half or less than a spray liner. These liners are cheap protection for your truck bed and easy to maintain or replace. You have a couple of different types to choose from too. The most common drop in bed liners are one piece, custom made to fit a particular truck model. A really good alternative to the one piece model is a custom multi-piece liner. These liners have separate pieces for the bottom, sides, front and tail gate. You get a great fit, an even better custom fit than with a one piece unit. Plus the multi-piece plastic bed liner is easier to ship and still is quick to install and tough too.

A plastic bed liner is a great alternative to a spray on bed liner. Protect your bed from dents and scrapes. Do it a lot cheaper than many other liners too. A multi-piece unit is also easy to ship and fits even better than the one piece units.

Neil Patrick Harris and boyfriend David Burtka announced that they had fraternal twins on October 12, 2010 by surrogate mother.

Remarkably, the surrogacy procedure saw each have one of their sperm take and produce a baby. The fraternal twins, a boy and a girl, were named Harper Grace and Gideon Scott. It is unknown at this time which one is whose. It is certain that each of the fathers sired a child. Of course, a DNA test would tell which. They may never want to know. How lucky to be able to both share in the fathering process. They all live in their famous fathers Hollywood Hills home in Los Angeles, California

A TV show star on the long running How I Met Your Mother, actor Harris, 37, remarked to People Magazine, “We found an egg donor anonymously through a hilarious process of looking at people’s profiles and then an amazing surrogate who had helped same-sex couples before.”

David Burtka, who quit acting recently to become a chef, added; “When we first found out it was fraternal twins, we were thrilled.”

Elton John,63, and his civil partner David Furnish, 48, also announced recently that they had a baby boy by surrogate birth, Zachary Jackson Levon Furnish-John, born on December 25, 2010. The baby born in California weighed 7 pounds and 15 ounces.

Zachary was born to an unidentified birth mother that was not the biological mother but had carried the baby after being implanted with a donor egg coming from another anonymous woman. This means that little Furnish-John in a sense has two fathers and two mothers. It is speculated that Furnish’s sperm was used since he is younger.

Reports say they chose California because there are more certain laws on surrogacy especially when it comes to gay and lesbian parents seeking surrogate mothers. There are no laws banning or against surrogacy here in California where we also have a California commercial surrogacy agency.

On Christmas Day Neil Patrick Harris wrote on Twitter, “Great – Congratulations to David Furnish & Elton John on the birth of their son Zachary! Can’t wait for play dates in the south of France.”

Harris and Burtka recently moved to a more child appropriate home in the Hollywood hills and have a new nursery with no less that an old time Disneyland theme park decor.

Neil Patrick Harris, (born June 15, 1973) is an American actor, singer and even magician. His prominent roles include the leading TV role in, Doogie Howser, M.D.(Golden Globe nomination), Colonel Carl Jenkins in Starship Troopers, a fictitious version of himself in the Harold and Kumar series, the title role in Dr. Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog and, of course, the current TV series, as the womanizing Barney Stinson in How I Met Your Mother. He hosted the 63rd Tony Awards on June 7, 2009 and on August 2010 he won two Emmy Awards. Harris’ volume of work has too many other appearances to mention here. He has been named one of Time magazine’s 100 most influential people in 2010.

Harris is openly gay, confirming that in November 2006 saying, “I am happy to dispel any rumors or misconceptions and am quite proud to say that I am a very content gay man living my life to the fullest and feel most fortunate to be working with wonderful people in the business I love.”

Those interested in surrogacy should be aware that a 1993 California gestational surrogacy court case (Johnson v. Calvert) awarded the intended parents all rights to a surrogate born child. Ever since then there has been good court acceptance. The birth certificate will have the intended parents names.

The baby is automatically a U.S. citizen!

In 2005 the California Supreme Court decided three cases together that had to do with lesbian couples who had reproduced using surrogacy. The court ruled that under the the Uniform Parentage Act, two women can be the legal parents of a child produced through surrogacy.

This ruling presumably applies to the rest of the LGBT (Lesbian, gay, bi-sexual and transgender) community. Since these court rulings are now case law, this makes California the land of opportunity for infertile people around the world plus gay surrogacy, lesbian surrogacy and same sex parenting.
